Call for papers: deadline 24 november

The session aims to focus on the palaeogeographical, archaeological, topographical, historical, landscape and settlement aspects of coastal areas and/or seabeds from an interdisciplinary perspective.
Some suggested topics:

  • Historical landscapes and their evolutionary dynamics (landscape archaeology);
  • Architecture and archaeological structures (including the submerged ones): typology, construction techniques, active conservation, historical-cultural enhancement;
  • Protection and enhancement of coastal and underwater cultural heritage;
  • Archaeological parks and open spaces, active and dynamic conservation, landscaping of historic places;
  • Human-environment interactions, productive activities and traditional knowledge;
  • The transmission of cultures and ideas;
  • Musealization, museum heritage;
  • Cultural dissemination and accessibility.
